Alumni Journey - Ricardo Dollero

Here is the third installment our Alumni Career Journeys, showcasing former Intern Colombia interns who highlight the long-term benefits of undertaking an international internship.

Interning abroad can provide you with the confidence to take on challenges & adventures in the future.

For Ricardo, it meant moving to the other side of the world (South-East Asia) to teach English. Here is what he said to us:

My name is Ricardo Dollero, and I graduated from UCLA with a major in Anthropology and minors in Film & Media and Ethnomusicology.

My internship with Intern Colombia at Corporación Prodepaz was transformative, allowing me to utilize my bilingual skills and build crucial professional relationships.

This experience provided hands-on training in nonprofit management, deepening my understanding of project coordination and English/Spanish Education.

The skills and insights gained through Intern Colombia have inspired me to continue my professional journey abroad. I am now poised to apply these lessons in Thailand, where I will further develop my career and contribute meaningfully in a global context.
